Tangerang – July 6, 2025 The journey toward meaningful community service officially began as a group of KKN (Kuliah Kerja Nyata) students gathered at Rumah Kedua Coffee, Tangerang. This first meeting served as an important milestone in their preparation, where they built the foundation of teamwork, assigned responsibilities, and began developing the core ideas for their community programs.
Held in a cozy and collaborative setting, the meeting was filled with enthusiasm, laughter, and a shared spirit of purpose. The students took time to introduce themselves, get to know one another better, and begin forming bonds as a united team. One of the key focuses of the gathering was the formation of the organizational structure, with students agreeing on specific roles such as group coordinator, secretary, treasurer, and division leaders for education, health, environment, and documentation.
Beyond structure, the group also entered into productive discussions about possible program kerja (community programs) to implement during their time in the village. Several creative and impactful ideas emerged, including free learning sessions for children, basic health education and hygiene campaigns, clean-up movements, and cultural activities aimed at building relationships with local residents. The students emphasized the importance of designing programs that are not only beneficial, but also realistic and sustainable for the community.
“This meeting gave us a solid start. We were able to divide tasks clearly and come up with a lot of great ideas together,” said one of the participants. “Even though it’s still the beginning, I can already feel the team spirit growing.”
The relaxed atmosphere at Rumah Kedua Coffee made the meeting even more enjoyable, allowing students to share openly, work collaboratively, and build motivation. The space also provided a perfect backdrop for discussions, planning, and lighthearted moments that strengthened their connection as a team.
In the coming weeks, the group plans to conduct further research on the village they will be assigned to, finalize their programs, and prepare the necessary materials and logistics. This initial coordination marks the beginning of a longer journey one filled with learning, service, and personal growth.
The KKN experience is not only a form of academic obligation, but also a valuable opportunity for students to step outside the classroom and directly engage with the community. With the momentum from this first meeting, the team is now more prepared and inspired to make a meaningful contribution through their KKN journey.
